Angry I need UUMPFH for my pulsar..

as a newbie of AF i joined to get some helpfull advice from all of u car enthuisiests.... it is very amusing to see all the comments written on ricers you must know though i drive an 84 model nissan pulsar (non turbo) simply cause i cant afford to run one at 17 years of age on a reasonably tight budjet i can not afford to put a turbo on my 1.5 litre p.o.s. motor... i have called pulsar specialsts here in adelaide and enquired about turbo-charging my motor, once they told me about de-compression head, new exhuast manifold, computer, electronics and a reconditioned t2 turbo which is $700aus alone. i said to the guy "so ur telling me its gona be easier ripping an ET motor out and sticking that in" he replies "yes"... money scaming bastard.. so there u have it...i must say i am "ricing" my car a little to get it to look nice, not putting MASSIVE wings on but a jetspeed front bar and getting a custom paint job done like the foto in my signature silver airbrushed cracks into metallica blue. It will look nice once i have finished ill be dure to post some pics, i do have an exhuast system on with muffler(not stock)thanks haha it is a nice little car BUT the 1.5 litre NON-turbo is as weak as piss!!! i need some power!!!!!!! could any of you AF enthuisiests suggest some effictive and cheap modifications i can do to the motor so i got some UUMPH!?:xelicon: i would actually like to be my grandma's diesel gemini one day... thank you

regards Dion

Your honsetly better off driving the car till it dies, and saveing your money for something with a little more potential.
If for some reason however you really love the pulsar then bang for your buck the Turbo is the best way to go.
How much is the paint job going to cost? why not spend that money on making the car a little faster to start with.

Firstly, hi everyone, I'm a newbie
I think you should hang on the Pulsar! Speaking from experience, the value of a reliable and economic run around is very underestimated when you're building up or modifying a car!
Keep the Pulsar, and when you can afford it, get the car you want, from the way you are talking you will be modifying something, be it the Gemini or something else, and that is very hard to do when you don't have something else around to keep you mobile.
Cars always cost money, it is very rarely heard of that someone has extensively modified a car and made a profit. But that situation can be reduced by the type of car that you choose to modify, and I think the returns and bang for buck on the FWD Pulsar aren't going to help you out.
