Re: Subs cut off at high volume

Started out with no cap. Did this same thing before i added it. Figured the lack of a cap was the problemo. so i have tried testing it without the cap. no success

Re: Subs cut off at high volume

I have just played around a little with the car. It seems to last a bit longer when i drive for a while with no music or amp drawing power. maybe altenator charging the battery to peak be4 i play it? do you think the lack of a brand new batt. could be the problem?

Re: Subs cut off at high volume

your alternator is still not keeping up with the peak power demand.

okay. um what would your recommendations with altenators sizes be? i found a 90-amp remanufactured. would that be reasonable?

Re: Subs cut off at high volume

think i just figured it out.. its shaking the head unit to much and it skips on the cds. Fm/am radio it doesnt cut out. i think problem solved. any recommended head units? that doesnt cost the price of my car. preferably with a remote. nothing fancy such as screens etc. or is there a simple fix to this problem?

Re: Subs cut off at high volume

try cutting a tie-wrap or two into like 1/2 -1 " stips and stuffing them between the mounting basket and cd player. Also make sure the back strap is installed.
