1998 Tahoe with 5.7 Spark knocking problem
I have a 1998 Tahoe with 5.7 350 4x4 with about 150,000 miles and I am having a problem with spark knocking when accelrating. What could be the cause of this. It has new plugs, wires, cap.

Re: 1998 Tahoe with 5.7 Spark knocking problem
Welcome to AF: Lots of causes for this and I will list some for you.
1. Inop Knock Sensor. 2. Carbon build-up in the combustion chamber and on the top of the pistons. 3. Vacuum leaks. 4. Wrong heat range spark plugs installed. 5. Poor fuel quality.
