But STD s come with 70 hp. To begin with i start of with 108 HP,plus mine is way lighter.

70 HP yes, with MPFI no. hes gonna have the edge on you where HP to the wheels is concerned. you are lighter, but not by nearly as much as you think. specially since you swapped out your motor for an Si, even though that doesnt add a whole lot. i see it as a race thats up to the drivers, but if he manages to get a jump on you with that STD tranny, you will lose. cause the higher gears on them get up pretty decent

I personally think the CRX will take him. With an Si swap, you get a better intake manifold and a WAY better cam than the STD model. Now, are you still using the HF tranny or an Si version? As far as weight is concerned, the Si engine is no heavier than the HF engine. It's practically the same motor with a different cam, intake manifold and exhaust manifold. As far as the STD goes, 108 hp is the rating for an Si with MPFI and all the goodies, this guy has a 1.5 with a sorry cam and a measly 4 speed tranny. Sure, it might be close, but the CRX is gonna be out in front.

yeah..the real key is the tranny...An HF tranny is gear SO tall, you'll have trouble by 2nd gear.
I mistakenly had an HF tranny put on my mighty DX once, and it sucked ass...GREAT for economy, but awful for acceleration. Needless to say, I quickly had the shop get me something besides the HF tranny. He still has the STD cam, which I think hurts a lot. I think you'll take him

I agree with you. I dont think its gonna be a close race. I think the crx is gonna take him by atleast a car. The std is a 12 valve motor isn't it??

Hey where are you guys gonna race? Can you get it on video. If you do and upload it to your computer, you can share it on kazaa. Just name it "CRX vs. STD" we'll find it. It should be tight.

those cars each have + and - they are close enough match to where it won't matter. it will come down to the driver....reaction time and shifting skills will make the difference every single time.
dohc zc crx vs hatch si. the zc crx should win just from faster engine and lighter car. but, the crx looses every week. it's all in the shift :evillaugh
