Traction control on the MX-5?

Hey guys,

I'm looking with more and more interest in picking up a used Miata, and I realize that living in Canada is probably not the ideal place for an MX-5 to be driven year-round, but I figure as long as I take it easy on the throttle and have a good set of winter tires I should be OK. My question is, what year did they introduce an electronic traction control system on the MX-5? I would like this feature if I do go ahead with this car, and I can't seem to find what year it was introduced on the MX-5.
