B16a to B16B? B18B to B18C5?

can a b16a be converted to a b16b? and can a b18b be concerted to a b18c5?

yea you could swap heads, you might run into problems later on with the B18b because its not meant to rev that high, the internals are not as strong and i dont think it has oil squirters. but you could still build a nice LS/Vtec, the LS has a lil' more displacment (37cc). for the trouble i would go CRVtec with a B20

isnt the B16a and b the same besides the head?

the B18b and c5 though are completely different. no oil squirters, worse(not much though) R/S ratio, and the heads are different(no vtec, etc.)

If this was to me, I know, I said the B18b and C5 are comletely different, the B18b has no oil squirters, worse R/S ratio, no vtec, etc) which means the C5 has oil squirters, better R/S ratio and Vtec. but I see how you got confused, I wasnt clear with my statement.

Isn't the B16b a destroked B18 Block? B16a block is different than B16b.

yea the block is taller and it has stronger internals, better cams etc. but all the B series engines are very closely related.

ALL the b series engines share the same size block. what differs is the crankshaft, bore size, rod ratio, piston height, and in some cases mounting points. but they are all based off the same size chunk of metal.
