Exclamation Guys, I need your HELP!!!!

how did you guys change the clearance light on the passenger side - the one that uses bulb no. 168? i can't seem to rotate it - it is freakin tight in there! I'm thinking of just taking out the entire headlight unit - but, does anyone know if there are other screws holding it besides the top two mounting ones? Please shed some light - no pun intended.

thanks guys

I've suffered numerous scrapped knuckles/cuts due to the same problem. Just keep working it and when your fingertips get numb, stop for a few minutes and then try again.

You could also just remove the headlight as you stated, I did that once too.

I've also noticed that sometimes the connector comes out fine, and other times its a real pain to free it up...

good luck..

The driver side was a piece of cake but, the passenger side is inaccesible. I tried the long nose plyer, but, i couldn't get it around the plastic thing how did u do it kenchan? - the windshield washer funnel is in the freakin way- is there a way to pull that funnel out? - it looks like it snaps in place. I found the third mounting screw for the headlight unit - I can definitley see removing that screw but, I dunno how the heck some of you guys screw it back in - if it drops your fu*ked. Anyway i guess i just gotta kepp trying over time to lossen it up.

Why is it that everytime I work under the hood - 3 layers of my skin are always ripped of my fingers?

about the winsheild washer fluid funnel... you can just push it into the fender and the cap will hold it under the lip of the fender. just pop it back out when you're done.

about replacing that third screw... heh, I never did!

The plastic thing!!! HAHA, yes, I do remember that. On one side, the washer is in the way and on the other, that plastic bs thing doesn't allow you to TURN it. I battled it out with that light as well, getting all bruised up. I even thought of taking off the headlight, but like ken said .. use a plier, grab a hold of that sucker and turn and it will work. Just keep trying. I stood on the side of my g when I turned it. It might take you a couple hours (cough, like me) to do it, but it will work.

dude, use really skinny/long needle nose plyers... its not that big of a pain in the ass to remove the entire headlight assembly either. The third screw doesnt even make that big of a difference on the passenger side.

the driver's side is no problem - but, the passenger side is what's giving me hell, i just can't seem to fit the long nose pliers through the space between the washer funnel and the black plastic connector. The connector is really tightened down - my bro has got longer fingers than me and he couldnt even loosen it.

looks like you have n choice but to take out the entire assembly... or you can just take it to the dealer and have them do everything for you

Hey if you take it into the shop, watch them and see how they do it. I've been trying to find how to take out the headlight panel for weeks now. My dealer keeps giving me crap about "why do you want to replace the stock bulb?" Cuz it looks better dammit!

ok, I popped open my P11's hood again to take another look. I placed the long nose plyers almost horizontally under the protruding gray plastic thing behind the headlight to reach the clearance harness clip. then I turn it about 1/4 at a time until the thing popped out.

it took me about 15minutes to do, but it does come out, keep trying!!!
