I am sitting here at work reading TWICE (This Week In Consumer Electronics) dei has a monopoly going with all the companies they've bought which now they have PPI,Orion,Clifford,Viper,Python,Sidewinder,A/D/S, Directed elec.,Rattler,hornet, and Avital. I have noticed that the quality of these products have diminished signifigantly especially on such fronts as A/D/S and PPI. I mean i have pre take over amps and i sell post takeover and holy shit they suck they burn out switchers and mosfets like it's going out of style. On the ADS front we dropped them because they actually changed the materials of which the product is made?? WHew that feels better i was starting to get pissed. Does anyone else have an opinion on this? or am i the only audiophile that is noticing the monopoly of the conglomerate companies and the complete shit that is being churned out. The alarms are great but the audio well we know what i have to say.

i have installed 3 us amps usa-2000x's and i am impressed i knew they were competition grade but the difference compared to my ppi 2400's is amazing.

everyone knows lack of competition causes inferior products/services .... just look at the government.

I have a viper amp and subs and them haven't burned out on me yet. Hell, their tech support is great to me. That may because i am running nothing but Viper shit and put up a high DB number.

We sell orion at the store i work at. At first i was pretty pissed that DEI bought them out but this years stuff that DEI has come out with is pretty cool. I'm not sure if it'll ever be as high quality as the original stuff and the service will never be as good but just maybe DEI could know what they're doin. I think it kinda sucks that they're kinda forcing their way into everybody else's business though. Oh well. Whoever has the money will win in the long run i guess.
