Stainless door sill plates
Satin-brushed, CNC engraved stainless door sill plates are 1/16" thick and mount on the flat area of the plastic (Yuchhh!) threshold cover. They even mount over dented, paper-thin bands of stainless tape. They are not gaudy or flashy, but look correct in your Mercedes.
