Re: 2003 AFMOTY Updates On Vote's

WOW......Amazing amount of PM's when i turned my computer on today. Had around 60 people that had voted.....i'm starting to wonder if we should have opened this up to the whole of AF !!

They are still coming in as i type this message !!.

But it has been updated.

Its very interesting to see how the voting is going.
When the contest first opened up it was nearly all the voting being done by the members of the modelling section which seemed to single out a few cars which got all the votes.
Now that the rest of AF is voting the votes seem to get more spread around the different model's.

Still got a few people that i've cancelled there votes because...
*They joined AF after the 31st December 03.
*Have voted for more then 3 models
*Voted for 3 people, but could'nt make up there mind which one was best !!

True...all the votes I got for my 350Z streetDRAGON are probably from members that are not modelers - they don't know about the progress thread and all the flaws the models has, they vote just cuz it looks cool...keep it up!

You deserve it, you put TONS of work on that model! Anyone who's seen your progress thread knows that... just my two cents

Re: 2003 AFMOTY Updates On Vote's

7 points = 32nd place (so far) out of 45 entries ! Pretty good, considering the competitors' class and experience....!!!

I got somewhere under 5 points last year! Keep in mind its a people's choice contest sooooo.................its the people choice. Its not like we have professional judges, its just fun.

Exactly!
Maybe I didn't sound good...I meant I really happy with the result, wichever it may be. Being in 32nd place is awsome. When I saw who was in, I was really scared to be smashed. But I entered the contest just for fun. I never thought my 2nd model (ever) would have so many points... If people went to the completed thread, they'd see lots of mistakes.... I guess that pic came out good and disguised some of them. eheheh

BTW, I want to thank whoever voted for me. Thank you
