1967 Gto tune up? MSD or Force Flow turbo?

Hey guys!

Im new.....so help me around a little...

So i have this 1967 Pontiac gto ...and i have a performance-plus cam, dual quad intake,2 carbs of 500 cfm each....too much......

So i need more air and better spark....

I was thinking if i would but on an 4x Forceflow turbo or an MSD box with a distribuidor 2...for the same cash....

So tell me how i can make it a lill faster.....for not that much money...im from mexico so its hard to find good parts...i order everything from the us.....

I had a total restoration with everything top to bottom....so now i need to work on small stuf...

My engine recives a lill 2 much gas.... so it dosnt burn it all.....so MSD or a Force Flow? or anything else...

u are the experts

Dude,

Dump the dual quad unit. THAT'S your problem, not the mixture. While they look "good" (beauty is in the eye of the beerholder), they are old-school and simply don't mix the fuel nearly as efficiently as a single 4-bbl. A single Qu_jet on an Edelbrock Performer RM would be better. The same Q-Jet on a factory 4-bbl. intake would be better yet!

What is a "performance-plus" cam? That's a "new" one on me...

Get Jim Hand's book, "How to Build Max-performance Pontiac V8s" and learn what the engine likes and dislikes. There should be plenty of expertise in Mexico regarding the Pontiac. What exactly do you want to do with this GTO?

Jim
