newbie model purchase help
hi all. i am a semi newbie to modelling, and i have not built that many kits. i am going to the h.s. tom, and i was wondering what a good quality tamiya or fujimi kit is...? i have experience with all makes, i just preffer those. i dont build racecars, just road cars. and suvs. i like japanese and euro cars. thanks

You can't really go wrong with Tamiya, everything they've made over the last fourty years has been of the highest quality. Fujimi on the other hand is a lucky dip, some of their stuff is brilliant, but sadly just as much, if not more is rubbish.

yea, i was thinking of either the 350z or the subaru 01' rally car. i like subies alot, and have already built the sti. but what i REALLY want, is the tamiya supra, but none of my lhs' have it... i love that car.

I am really enjoying the tamiya 350Z, thought it seems a bit pricey for how basic it is. (the undercarrage and suspension are all one piece) I just bought a tamiya r33 skyline for $18- the one with the engine detail... and it seems to be a cool kit.

yea, thats what ive heard, but for a newbie a fujimi would be perfect. is the wrc subie n e good, like, fit&finish wise. cuz i really want a good quality model...

ok, i just came bak from the h.s. and i got a porsche 911 GT3, and subaru wrc 2001 GB. they are both tamiya. thanks for your input
