First Model in 15 years, where to start first???

I haven't done a model in about 15 years. My wife bought me the Revell '32 Ford 3 Window Coupe a few weeks ago and it has been sitting up in my closet since then. I have put off getting it out and even thinking about it until my son saw it and asked me when i was going to make it. So, I have to decide what to do with it. I don't want to make the typical street rod. I was thinking about making it into a police car, but, I can't find any old decals for it. Any suggestions?

On a totally different note, I have a question I would like to ask. I was in my local HobbyTown USA and was looking at the prices of the Tamiya Models. They had the Tamiya Skyline GTR V-Spec for $26 US. Is that a good price? I found a few sites online that are selling them for about that much, but, the shipping usually costs another $10.

After I totally mess up the '32, I think I am going to get that Skyline and paint it bright yellow (in honor of my favorite GT2 car).

Well, thanks in advance for your help.

Hi! Welcome to AF! That '32 For kit is pretty straightforward and cool to build. Those Skyline prices are about average for everywhere else. Make sure you check out the FAQ in case you have any questions and feel free to ask for any help you may need! Welcome back to the hobby!

Dremel tool d00d !

chop drop and Shop that 32. get rid of that roof... aghhh !

lower the spindels with some pieces of styrene and cut off the front fenders. you can make cool front suspension with rods of plastic from the sprue if they are small enough, OR fo to hobby shop that has styrene and get tubes and brass pipe. will look uber cool.

Don't forget to use lots of White Squadron putty !

For the '32 Ford, the possibilities are endless! You should have no trouble with ideas for this!
