Question Favorite VW?

Hi, I'm new here and I want to know which of VW's cars you think is the best overall, style, engine, safety... everything.

Please, go into as much detail regarding your choice as possible.

Be it GTI, Jetta, Beetle or any VW car, there is no wrong answer, this is mostly subjective and so keep the flaming to a minumum.

Peronally, I preffer the jetta, however I really don't know much about cars

Ready. Set. GO !!!

Im not a big VW fan, but I do like the Turbo Diesel Jetta's. They are extremely efficient, and are a very nice car overall. Im not sure how these cars are for repair bills, etc, since I havent owned one myself.

I have however drove a 91 and an 02, and liked them both very much. (liked the 02 better, for obvious reasons ). They are a very refined car, handling and overall driving experiance was very good. The performance of the Diesel wasnt all that great, but the TDI's arent race cars, they are for economy and they do it well.

I will definitly own a TDI Jetta at some point.

Hi, I've always had Vw's.
All the cars listed below are mine or I drove them for some days.
Then here is my choice:

Passat and Bora TDi 110hp: great confort, good reactions up to 3000rpm but doesn't go faster than 205Km/h. Lot of place for driver and passengers.

Polo 1.9Sdi: (my wife's car) Cool car for the city, doesn't need a lot of place to park.

Golf MK3 VR6: Perfect, the best I've ever had. Great exhaust noise, good max speed , good reactions of the engine from 1000rpm to 7500rpm. Good confort and enough place for my great legs.
But "drinks" too much.

Golf MK2 Rally(G60): Too nervous for me but I loved the 4wd and the noise of the compressor.

1962 Beetle: classic car , great for w-e.

And the award goes to: Golf Mk3 VR6

No, unfortunately I had to sell it two years ago.
But one day, when I'll be richer, I'll buy a 4WD 2.9l VR6.
It's rare but it's easy to find one here in Europe

I'm not a big VW fan, but that new R32 does look nice. GTI body with a 241hp VR6, 4motion all wheel drive putting down 236lb ft of torque through a 6 speed, not bad.
