You do the FW23, I was just about to start on the Toyota

Lancer looks great Phil, I think I will just use your model for reference when I finally get onto working on mine (should be some time in the next 10 years).

Thanks chrismcgee. You may have noticed I've been deliberately photographing the body in locations that pick up reflections to show off the shine. Petty I know!

Olivier.

but first, finish this one !
Yeah I love Tom's big Jag. Ordered a book from Amazon on Jaguar at Le Mans, hoping it will contain plenty of detailed shots of the XJ220C. If it does then I think I'll have a go, if not then I'll have to keep looking for good references.

Studio 27. Going back a couple of year S27 photoetch was a waste of time but the sets they have been producing lately are brilliant. Probably due to the competition from the likes of SMS.

Can highly recomment the Evo VII one if only for the windscreen wipers, grilles and that little telephone! Although in the end I'll only use about half of the bits on it.

I was hoping you would say that one.
I agree, some of the stuff on the Studio27 set is a bit redundant, but the other things you mention make up for it in more ways than one.

I have the ST27 set for the Pug and was most impressed.

Thanks Chris! If I was doing the front end modifications again I'd use plastic card as much as possible rather than all putty. By all means do a rally car, you'll love it!

Here is a small update on the interior (they're coming thick and fast now ). Spare wheel has been strapped in, the easy part of the seat harnesses fitted and a bit of detail painting here and there. Next up is to fit the roll cage and thread the sholder straps through it.

Finished the interior. Unfortunately the weather here is terribly wet and windy, so I can't get any natural light shots in the meantime here are a few taken indoors with a flash.

Trouble is the way this kit is constructed, once it has been fully assembled it will not be easy to pull the body off to take more interior pictures. That means, I'm going to have to wait until the weather clears up to get good interior shots. So the completion will be delayed until then

That is absolutely incredible.

I can only hope to one day, just once, get a result like that. Pleasure to see it!
