Re: BMW-Williams FW-24 Project...

Looks great, brilliant attention to detail. What needs the clear coat, the rear wing?

Yes the rear wing will need a coat of clear to seal the decals...

Re: BMW-Williams FW-24 Project...

Welcome back! Glad to see you are back on this subject! With so much aftermarket stuff available for this model, I am glad you are doing most of it yourself. That engine and rear wing look incredible! Kudos

Re: BMW-Williams FW-24 Project...

Thanks,

I got the white and the blue on the mid section now. I put the gloss coat on the rear wing as well. I am just going to let them dry for couple days before working on them again.

Mean whie I ll start working on the engine cover. I put the initial white base couple months ago, so it is dry now I painted the inside of the cover semi gloss black. I will mask of the black and paint the final coat of the white and let that dry ....

all that drying time.... what should I do....

Re: BMW-Williams FW-24 Project...

Start on the interior (Seat, instrument panel, Detachable steering wheel, seat blets) or Radiators, connectors, radiator and electrical lines and junctures, etc

all left form that list is the steering wheel, connectors, electrical lines and junctures. I am waiting for the mid section to finish so I can attache the side pods on. Then I will put the detail on.

One more day and I will have the black put on the mid section. then it will be down hill

Well finally the paint is done. I polished it alittle to place the decals on. After everything is settled I ll go over it with gloss coat to seal it.

all is left is the front end the electrical details, cooling system and the cowling. almost done...

Re: BMW-Williams FW-24 Project...

This is looking great. I have this kit on my shelf but I am trying to finish 3 projects that are in progress before starting another one. I'll be looking at this thread for reference when i do start it.
