UPDATES:

Been workin' on the rearend. I decided to do a solid axel to move things along and have less parts machined. Um, I've also been working on the mockup. Now, for the tons of pics (sarcasm).

It looks like you made a die. Are you going to thread some rod, Mike? Or what? Just foolin' with ya. Good to see something is happening with it.

UPDATES:

Started working on the cover piece for the rear. I laminated 10ovals of .030 styrene together with cement, then filed it into shape. Not much to say. It was a lot of work, and made a huge pile of dust. Still have to add some details, right now its just tacked on there.

Enjoy! Thanks for all the feedback, and C+C.

Re: ULTIMATE SCRATCHBUILD: 1/6 Hot Rod (Progress)

Bit by little-tiny-bit.... nice work (as usual)

I H-A-T-E that plastic sanding dust!! Drives me nuts!

I'd love to find a way to build a vacuum of some sort into my desk.... Except it would have to be intelligent enough not to suck up the actual model pieces!!

I love that dust, I keep it in a container to mix with CA to create strong joints and quick touch up fillers. The only time it annoys me is when I go to blow dust of the piece and the pile spreads out all over the table. So you want a vacuum that doesnt suck up model parts, but just dust? Put a screen on the end of the hose. It would sift/filter out all the model parts because they would be too big to go through the holes.

Thanks for all the comments guys. Today I need to figure out the bolt pattern for the third member, and start building it.

Re: ULTIMATE SCRATCHBUILD: 1/6 Hot Rod (Progress)

Line up that crack and snort it...I mean, looking awesome. I would try and 8 bolt and a 10 bolt pattern then pick the one that looks best. Are you going to make 1/6th scale decals/stickers for the company logos to go on the parts?

UPDATES:

Got some pics at school today. Been working on the buck. Below are pics of the buck thus far.

Enjoy!

Whumbachumba, no decals. Because on the 1:1 I would remove them. But I may have the belt markings on the motor.
