If you have a little less than 20K to spend, invest in an SRT-4, a 99+ Mustang GT, or find yourself a DSM and then build that up.

There are so many cars out there than a Prelude. And for less than 20K, you can find something so much better. The 240 is a great idea as well. If I remember correctly some of the fellow 240 owners have said their internals can handle 350+ HP. But also, another idea would be a 92-95 Civic hatch, swap in a B18C1, and then Turbocharge that mother. But I'm biased to Hondas. But then again, it's your money, your taste, but I just wanted to give you my input and just advise you of things that are better out there. If you end up getting the prelude, then good luck to you. Yeah I am planning on testing out the prelude and a 240 and witch one i like the feel oh.

Edit: I am going to wait till I can find out how much and when that new 06 Eclipse comes out.

i see that your gonna weight, but when comparing the 240 to the prelude, keep in mind that one is Front wheel drive and the other is Rear wheel drive. Depending on which one you like more, you will probably have a better idea of what drivetrain you want to have which will in turn help you narrow down more cars

I went to the dealer today to ask. he gave me his cards and told me its just 5,000 more then the 05 new. so 25-30,000 I belive. that is fine. Its better then paying 20,000 for a car that has been used. PLus I do like the look I just have to test drive it. I still am going to test the 240 and perlude if i can find any. For everyone esle out there the dealer told me the eclipse will be out in dec. lol just about 2007 but thats good thats give me time to get a 7-13,000 down payment.

Re: I want to get into street raceing

What are the specs on them? 1/4 mile time, 0-60, gas mileage, etc.? I just took a look at some of the pictures of them, they are descent, but they look kinda like a Tiburon. Personally, for under 20K, even if it is used, you could find yourself a decently quick car, and also still have money to spend and upgrade on it. Rather than spending all your money, and hardly having any cash to upgrade anything. L8...

well the 1993-1994 mazada rx-7's are pretty fast stock. and you can get one from 10-15 grand stock, depending on condition. they look awesome, and they have a ton of after market parts. .. just my 2 cents......
