Re: 2g GST/GSX vs. 95-96 Mustang Cobra

what do you tune with?

Man you just listed all that and you have the balls to sit here and tell me that your car is a better buy! Yea, i could buy any car and do what you did and run that fast.. You totally redid the entire car to run a high 12 second pass.. thats terrible if you ask me lol i can run 11's with out even so much as taking anything apart.. stock bottom end, stock heads, just bolt ons and slicks! in fact i know a dude that ran 11.56 with a 99 Cobra with slicks and pretty much every bolt on.. do you realize how fast my car would be if i added a turbo kit?

no i have all the reciepts still! as far as the gauges and other little pretty things that monitor my engine... (Just gauges) that is not included in the 5k i spent... just for engine mods, boost and fuel controller, and nitrous!

this is the only thing that was not included in the 5k
all gauges are autometer C2:
Boost
EGT
Fuel Pressure
Oil Pressure
Tranny Temp
Water Temp

its sad that you are using two forms of forced induction to do what i can do with bolt ons and a tune hahahaha

Re: 2g GST/GSX vs. 95-96 Mustang Cobra

Um an RST would be an RS with an aftermarket turbo setup. And his RST is built on the Chrysler 420a engine that comes stock in GS and RS eclipses, that same engine people earlier in this thread were scoffing at for only putting out "140 hp". I'm not sure what Jake is putting to the wheels now, but is 12 second time slips indicate it is more than what people think the 420a can do . Give us some numbers here Jake!

As far as dsm's holding their value less than cobras, I do not know about that at all...If I remember correctly, the spyder gst had a higher asking price than your cobra . There are approximately 10-15 people posting want ads for awd dsm's at all times on dsm sites like dsmtuners.com, dsmtrader.com, etc., so I wouldn't say that dsm's are less desirable or hold their value less than cobras. Although, I do give cobras credit for their rarity , as each one is serial numbered and such--kind of cool for such a slow car (juuuuust jokin', after all this is the ECLIPSE forum!)

i have a little over $5000 into my whole car and i am running 12.7, spinning all the way thru first, and only using nitrous off the line...

you spent $15000 on your car plus $500-1000 in mods and your running 13.5, personally i'd be pissed if i were you cause you made a bad choice for a car if you wanna be fast, and truly thats all you will ever be is a wanna be... you should have gotten a honduh, better yet keep the mustang cause your motor is twice the size and i can still wax your ass all day long!

It's sad that it takes bolt-ons and a tune for you to hang with a car with half as many cylinders, and less than half of the displacement, that could have cost about half as much as yours.

Re: 2g GST/GSX vs. 95-96 Mustang Cobra

props for building the car, and for taking the engine to new levels, but how is that cost effective or effeciant compared to my Cobra? I think in this situation it isn't as effective as getting a GST or GSX and going smaller cheaper work.. i know a gst could run simular times as myself with much less work than you have done to your RS..

Re: 2g GST/GSX vs. 95-96 Mustang Cobra

Ok you are a loser with an RS eclipse! you know nothing about fast cars... i ran a 13.4 as shown in the time slip i posted, not 13.5. and this weekend i'll post a 13.1 if not high 12 with tires that aren't bald.. So keep throwing money at your RS homo!
