Re: Supercar of the 90's - Making of Ferrari F50

I'm always speechless about your works Alex, I just wonder if you're going to build it as a coupe or roadster version?

Re: Supercar of the 90's - Making of Ferrari F50

Thanks guys!
Gio, yes, fittings are a bit big, but not terribly, so I decided to let them be.
Some_Kid - yes, one day I will build another F40, something along the lines of this F50. I also know about hte side scoops, but I decided to leave them like they are now, the ap is really small and I would hate to screw up the paint at this stage... the model is almost completed anyway....
Tang, you can actually switch between barchetta nad berlinetta bodies by changing the roof part, so it could be displayed either way.

Re: Supercar of the 90's - Making of Ferrari F50

Well, well.... what do we have here? Another UPDATE?
The model is completed... but before showing pics of the completed model I wanted to show the part that gave me the most grief - air intake! Took a while to detail!

Here is the couple of pictures of a completed model...

...but WAIT! WHAT IS IT NEXT TO IT????

Yep, that's right, its an EVIL TWIN! Remember at the beginning of hte thread I told you it will be a surprise thread? Here it goes: I have built two of them - identical models, one Rosso Corsa, one Nero Daytona! more here:

Enjoy!
Alex

Re: Supercar of the 90's - Making of Ferrari F50

Well, building two is almost like building one if you do it at the same time. You just make X2 of everything...It gets a bit repetitive when you have to make, say, 8 brake rotors, but other than that - its fun! I have built red one for somebody else, black is going to my collection.

Re: Supercar of the 90's - Making of Ferrari F50

Wow. Two at the same time. I´m already getting tired of doing 4 brake rotors. And the air intake is so spectacular. I´m speechless. THIS IS TRUELY GREAT MODELLING...CAUSING ENVY AND ADMIRATION.

Re: Supercar of the 90's - Making of Ferrari F50

Thanks guys!
Next I want to finish my 360CS - now that Gio sent me some of his spectacular P/E, I really need to get cranking on it before I start anything else. I also have one interesting 1:43 project that I want to finish before I leave fro my vacation in August.

You are crazy as all get out! I am so in love with them both. You need to show me your completed collection if you can. I would love to see all of your Ferraris together. Great job.

Re: Supercar of the 90's - Making of Ferrari F50

Thanks!
I don't have very many acually, most of them were build to order, so they are all gone. I have probably 10-15 right now in my personal collection.
