Oh jeez, now you've done it. Now he's going to scratchbuild a new set out of paperclips and the lids from empty bottles of Tamiya acrylics!

No pressure, Ski!

Re: Topless Trio: 365GTS/4 Daytona

The easiest solution would be to use the 5-spoke wheels! Not that I personally, in all honesty, see much wrong with Fujimi wire wheels, they could look convincing with some detailing and a blackwash.

St-ki, that's a superb build, and since you don't have a lathe/mill, I could bet on you to actually comlete it!

Thank you for the good words

Another choice is the Tecnomodel's stuff: well not really cheaper a lot..

But haven't you a chinese friend that do PE by himself ? LOFL

Just ask our US buddy to turn rims (also 4 me ) and I'll do the wire spokes for both

and I stop myself here w/out gags about tyres with only wire rims... LOFL shit I piss me under LOFL

Re: Topless Trio: 365GTS/4 Daytona

I see my 2 Bad Ass buddies become more Bad and bigger Asses with every day! j/k

Actually Andy, I'm wondering if I couldn't scratch smoething out of left-over TR3 flash...

The jury is still out on the wheels.

I think it was hiroaki who really did wire some wheels up himself in 1/24!

Re: Topless Trio: 365GTS/4 Daytona

Gorgeous work! I don't think I've ever seen a set of cars all being built to such standards as a fun group build. Very, very cool set. The detail you're doing is great, and to hell with lathes. You don't need 'em.

Re: Topless Trio: 365GTS/4 Daytona

Great work on the interiors, opening the air vents is a brave job, I liked also the work for the instrument panel and those seat belts look great also!

Is the inner insulation of the hood already engraved in the part or you did something?
Great “old school” hood hinges!

Congrats!!! I like a lot this TT build!

Cheers!

I must give credit to the wonderful person(s) who did the master work on this Fujimi kit. They molded the pattern on the underside of the hood - I just did the easy part of covering it with BMF (and even that already had glue on it ).
It is my personal opinion that whoever did the master for the Daytona loved that car

Ramon, thank you! I am pleased and honored that you visit our thread. I hope you will look in from time to time and maybe visit our "China Tour" fun build - what Gio is doing there is amazing too
