Les, this is great stuff but I absolutely insisit that you show more detailed photos in your builds of "clutch linkages" and things!! How the heck am I gonna learn anything if I can't see the details?!?!!?

thanks everyone, no pics this time thou. I had ordered all my goodies in late December and after giving up on one company and getting my money back after waiting 2 months and then trying another company, I finally have wires and glue, paints, etc. but someone, (no names here ) ordered the wrong size ignition wires and fuel lines so I'm still at a standstill with this. I dont think this project required that much patience really, but waiting for stuff to arrive in the mail sure does!
and Klutz, by following your wip's, I really dont think you need any help learning stuff. kinda the other way 'round, right?
but thanks everyone for looking and your comments, will have an update soon.
Les

Re: 406.60mph WIP

Really looks great

How do you want to display the model: just like on the photos and body-panels next to it?

Re: 406.60mph WIP

I just saw one on ebay last night and wondered/hoped you were still at it. Great work so far! I'm so glad you're not losing heart, this is just too cool!

Re: 406.60mph WIP

Another fix at last! I'm checking on the cost of cheap flights out to you so I can see this in real time!

It's hard not to appreciate the effort you have put into making this complicated, bad fitting, 4-engined (!!!!!!) monster look so good - and instead of a lathe, you use sprue

It's getting my vote in whatever contest you put it in.

Keep at it buddy!

Re: 406.60mph WIP

Well, it's finally back to work on this after it sat on my desk while I worked on my '40 Ford. There isn't much difference since the last update pics, but I have spent about 7 long evenings repositioning the engines, finishing off a lot of details and finally finishing most of the linkages and lines on the injectors. Wow, that got pretty monotous. But as I was taking these pictures, my lamp slipped and I now have a 3 engined Challenger with half the fuel supply. Should take about 40 minutes to fix, thou.

I'm not really sure yet. I think it all depends on how the body panels end up fitting and the final overall look of the engines.

I'm really anxious to get to the body, very tired of working with tweezers for such a long time.
Cheers,
Les
