I just think it deserves to look like a pristine restored car, but build it how YOU want it.

Updates again,

I started to make the interior upholstry for those parts that were left "untouched" by manufacturer. also grab halndles were added:

Windows have not yet been added, but window surrounds were

oh yeah and I polished everything... that was a giant pain the a&&

chasis with wheels, suspension, interior, etc.. all that missing is the inner fenders and the body

That engine is not looking too bad

finally the polished hood and trunk pieces.. notice the photoetched key lock...?

suggestions? comments? all welcomed... as you can see I listen to them

Re: Superdetailed Mercedes Benz 300 SL

this is actually not the larger scale minicraft kit (1:16). this is a 1:24 scale kit from AMT. ALthough I accept the compliment

Hi slk320!
My Heller kit has raised lettering of the "Mercedes 300SL" marking on the trunk. Did you have this on your kit as well and you decided to sand it down or is it some kind of decal? If you sanded, how are you going to replicate it?
best regards
Joel
