HAHA that made me laugh and it is so true. See this is the kind of people we need more of around here they are not afraid to point out things that they don't like about their cars, unlike some people who just say oh well my cars is the best all around and there is nothing wrong with it blah blah blah. But ever car has its negative sides you just have to be man enough to tell everybody about it.

with a turbo shouldn't it put out a little more torque than that ? Those 1/4 mile times are pretty impressive though.

so much bull the entire forums smells.....lets see some photos....you have enough money obviously so you must have a digital camera.

oh and i just checked the official specs on the s2000: "Curb Weight (lbs.)2835"....your ass must be filled with helium since your car is 200lbs lighter even with you and a turbo steup than an empty car

why do we keep getting 14 year olds in this forum to waste the bandwith

I went to the track (Moroso) this last wednesday with my buddy because he wanted to test his car out and see what it ran. ( 14.4 with a saturn isnt bad at all.) but anyway there were like 6 srt 4's there and they were beating so many cars. there was one that was running 13 seconds flat. it was awesome.there was also a civic that was running low 12's pretty nice. but the craziest thing i saw all night was the dualies running low 14's and doing smoke shows. it was awesome. anyway if any of you live in south florida there is another event tomorrow from 6pm to 2am and they are giving away 4 sets of drag radials it will be sweet hope to see you there. ill be there with my red civic for sale.

S2000's weigh in regularly at 2750-2650lbs at the track without any major weight reduction. Just spare and jack removal. That's without driver, though.

still add to that the weight of another person lets say 180 lbs(average for a guy) and at least another 100lbs for the turbo sytem....that makes even your most optimistic 2650 into 2930

and look at his post it just seems like another 14 year old that thinks we'll be impressed by his fake car...unless he'll bring some hard evidence i'll keep calling BS

plus you should know even better than me how rare turbo s2000s are....SC s2000s are much more common

....i'm not sure what king of weight reduction you want to prove with the exedy clutch system....and from the wheels and hood you might save maybe 50 pounds which barelly makes up for the 40 lbs you added with a hard top...

i'm sorry but your posts make you sound more and more like a 14 year old...

ok i just checked an older car and driver that had the hardtop s2000 and its curbweight is 2896 lbs (its the decmber 2002 issue if you don't trust me)....i presume you realise that curb weight is measured as it comes off the asembly line and includes an emty tank and nost likely not even a spare yet...the manufacturers always try to make the car sound as light as posible...

but anyway lets take this very optimistic 2896 add your 172 plus 80 prom the turbo and we'll have 3148

now we'll save a very very optimistic 50 lbs with the hood
another 10lbs per wheel again very optimistic
and another super optimistic 50 lbs for the jack and spare

so we have 3148-50-40-50=3008 pounds...care to explain the rest of 350 lbs.....and stop quoting stuff like a clutch upgrade or coilovers...those are not used in weight savings since they might help you with a few pounds at best....they are upgraded for performance reasons

ok i'm not saying that the car described by you its imposible to make....but you do have to understand how hard it would be to make such a car you also have to realise the amount of kids that we get in this forum claiming to have such cars....this is why we need proof of such cars...

first a turbo s2000 is a very rare car

second starting with the weight of 3148 calculated with the info you provided to end up with 2650 means you managed to lose 498 pounds....do you know how difficult that is to acheive even for a manufacturer

and if the top is carbon fiber i would really like the link to the producer of that top(the one from honda is aluminum) and don't say its custom made one of a kind since that would cost ridiculously
