@ Bonzelite: great sketches! I've always admired storyboard art. I mean telling stories without words, erasing any language barriers, that's a very great skill.

When will we be able to see KR in theatres?
thank you, knightvision.

KR is on the NBC TV network.

In due respect, you needed to see how perspective works before you could have done that. Your next sketches should reflect, then, this learning curve.

Your first sketch did not show any evidence of having established a vanishing point. Notice how on my sketches I have drawn orange lines off into the white space as they go to a point somewhere off the page. That is my established vanishing point. You will benefit from practicing this with every car drawing.

GSAMAD--You're getting the kind of help/education from Bonzelite that many in other places would have to pay for in time and money.
Hope you take to heart and practice what he's giving to you.

Bummer! Then I'd have to download it illegally! I got no chance to get NBC over here in Europe. Man how I loved the '80s original show on Sunday afternoons.

Oh and here's a sketch of some long hood Gran Turismo.

Absolutely. I will never forget those who help me. I am not the kinda of person who would receive help from someone, then give them my a** to kiss. Dont worry, I will repay those who are truely seeking to help me like Bonzelite and many others I know. So stay in contact; cant hook you up with one of my future concepts if i cant get in touch with you...

Nice. Very clean body to it. Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm not really feeling the front grille too much, its working; but its a little bit rigid. So if you plan on updating her, soften her up a bit by making the grille more sleek. I think that would really make her stand out. Other then that, its very clean and sporty.

I think I got something i drew in the archives that could compete with that Turismo of yours. So i have about three or four drawings to post up, a thing i got working out for chrysler, a new version of my slingback concept, and then the car i got that could compete with that gran turismo of yours. Should have them up by friday evening, if not, atleast by sunday night.

Re: Concept Drawings

Yeah i think I get your point, I wanted to combine a narrow, vertical grill with a wide lower intake, but it became a bit too small I guess. Maybe a bar at the upper section of the grill would help to increase its visual presence.

I got a few more others and will post them every once in a while.

And I'm curious about yours.

that sketch is beautiful, like a professional. It reminds me of a Cadillac design; I mean that as a compliment, Caddy has awesome design. It's the best concept so far posted in this thread.

My only critique would be to widen the whole body, ie, front and windshield. Other than that you are good to go. The ellipses and spoke spacings are nearly perfect.

About Knight Rider, I'm sure it will be syndicated before long. I've never watched the new version of the show, but others say it's not very good!

Re: Concept Drawings

knightvision,

here is more realistic body width. I chopped it and pasted it for you to see what I was talking about. This is only to give you an idea about keeping the body wider and not so thin.

Your first concept is great, but the body width would only fit one person inside of it, with one seat, with the steering wheel in the middle of the car. Watch your proportions.

Wow thanks Bonze!

The whole grille problem I had with the grille I mentioned above is solved now. I wanted to have a narrow greenhouse section, but I guess you're right, it would only be a one seater then. It now still looks like I wanted to have initially, though.

And thanks for your nice words, this is what gives me confidence. I'll be delivering my portfolio to Pforzheim University tomorrow, so please keep your fingers crossed...

You are a very talented young man. You deserve the best and to have your dreams fulfilled. Keep in the game. It will pay off.

You're already drawing on a near-professional level. Believe me; I am a professional and you have impressed me for the years we've been on here. You have very fresh ideas and you have skills. Pforzheim U will be impressed.

Well what shall I say... that's one of those very special compliments I earned yet and it means a lot to me, especially from a pro like you.

I just hope Pforzheim sees it the same way as you do ;-)

But even if not, words like these keep you going. My chances are 1:10 but if you don't believe in it from the start I guess you shouldn't try in the first place, so it's motivation and confidence what you need I guess.

Maybe I shouldn't talk so much... More Mercedes:

Unfortunately, I noticed too late that it's twisted.

However, GSAMAD seems to run a very busy company... didn't he tell us to show us some new drawings last weekend?
