well at least someone believes in it.

and see thats the problem. the severe lack of mature, single, nice, non-bitchy, attractive women in this country is amazing

SO?? aren't relationships SUPPOSED to be based on FRIENDSHIP??? and so it doesn't work out and we break up, that doesn't mean i'm never going to talk to her again! she'll still be my friend! i would never see a girl walking down the street and walk up and ask her to date me just because i didn't want to ruin the friendship i have with the girl i truly like. i might think she's hot or other various thoughts (:alien2: ), but i wouldn't be thinking about an actual relationship unless i got to know her and found out if she was right for me or not. it's all way too confusing for THIS guy to work out...
Thank you!!! My first, last, and only g/f was my friend for 3 years before we went out. Unfortunently I found out two days later I was moving away, again. We still keep in touch but long distance wasn't an option since I didn't know where she was moving to a couple months after me. It probably would have worked out...but that's was my only exception. It's always, can't we just be friends and not mess things up.
Actually, right now I'm going through such a situation. But this one is my choice because we are so close, connected so easily and I've only known her for 6 months, but I'm not sure whether to ask her out or not. I think I will, but true friendship is so hard to find these days, I think any kind of soulmate is good since there is already someone out there for you in any way. I actually believe that life throughout time gives you choices and and there is a path that'll make your life perfect, just make the right choices. It gives you the choice once and wether you seize it or not is up to you.

What, is your boss allergic to lower-case? I don't see what work has to do with caps-lock.

Friends vs. Soulmates theme again?

That's a nice philosophy.

On a related note, I just wanted to say that I may be dating someone right now, but it just so happens to be that his roommate had "been interested" in me before now. The roommate and I are very often said to be "clones" of one another just in opposite sex bodies. But at the same time, I feel connected to the roommate on the VERY close friend level. I feel that after time I could tell him anything and not worry or be embarrassed. Granted, I've only known the both of them for a lil over a month, but some people you just connect with... It's kinda strange, but comfortable and just feels right.

That's what any sort of soul-mate is all about, no?

LoL, I really think I should post...being the one that this thread was started about...

Me being me, I'm easy to talk to, associate with and generally have a fun and enjoyable time with. I don't entirely think that I'm anyone's soul mate, but still, I have yet to find someone that is my soul mate...I suppose it could be said that whilst you find someone who is your soulmate, the reciprocation of that does not necessarily mean that you are theirs...LoL...ANYONE get what I'm saying?

I don't believe in soul mates, and have thus never conducted a search for them, simply because I don't feel a need to be that connected to anybody!. You are yourself and your world revolves around you and you alone.

More on this subject later.

That would make sense, seeing how it's mostly believe soulmates are soulmates that you don't look for. They're just there and show up.

Then again, I guess that's another thing. If you do believe in soulmates, are they there, placed for you and you'll meet them no matter what. It's destined to happen? Or do you need to find them? If they're your soulmate, then you think you wouldn't have to, would you? guess that brings up my theory earlier...
