I agree kicker. I'll keep making my so called stupid posts as well. I have had a few moderators complaining about my post count this month.

Generalizing such as this does you no good. For me it is not personal. I have moderated other forums. I have always been as strict and fair to everyone, even CLOSE personal mates in R/L who used them.

No forum user is or should be above the law ( forum rules ). I tend to stay out of discussion such as this even though this has now went way off topic. What I see are two users causing more than enough undue issues and dramas for these boards. While these two seem it funny to make light of requests to tone it down they continue to push the envelope but as they step over that fine line their posting rights will go the way of the dodo.

Remember everyone here is human with real life issues and dramas. We all have personal lives outside the forums which directly influence or effect they way we may view a certain issue. It would be nice to see everyone get along but on a forums this size with the sheer volumne of users anyone can get it wrong.

What seperates a top forum user from the "other users" is we can also carry on with our duties as outlaid by the forum administrator, and moderators even though we may step on someone's toes. Forum users are less likely to become "targets" as suggested or hinted if they just play by the rules. Even if you feel you have been hard done by, it will always be towards your benifit in the long run to be nice. If your nice and someone is not nice then you have a legit reason to feel brassed off. Plea your case to a moderator and if you have an issues with a moderator then plea it to the Admin. If you still don't get any satisfaction then you have two avenues to go down.

1. Stay clear of that particular person. Don't give them a reason or excuse to even give you a second look.

2. Leave. Leave the forums and go somewhere else.

Getting defensive or offensive will only cause not only the moderator of that particular area to scrutinize any posts you make much closer and stricter, but also other moderators in different areas. You will become a legistical target. The louder you get the worse it will get. It can get to the point in which you may not get banned, at least right away but anything you post that can be even remotely viewed as out of line over the line, offensive, or uncontructive will be nuked. It never needs to come to that. Only the forum user will push it that far.

Remember we as moderators also have guide lines to follow. Getting all pissy at anyone of us for following those guide lines set fourth will not do the user(s) any good.
