I know what you mean. I was looking at them just yesterday and said to myself "Sh*t! That's not going to be fun!"

It looks like I fell a bit behind on this wip, great catching up with a whole bunch of updates in one shot. I like your casting progress pics. I believe that it is glass behind the casting box but the rest of your skills and this model are truly magic.

Re: 1-24 MFH Aston Martin DB-R 9 Silverstone 05

finally a update

I finished all CF decals on the body + the normal ones... CF around the headlight was a major pain in the *ss.. But patience and Micro Set + Sol worked after some tries. One thing I noticed are the two red (or yellow depending on which car you build) stripes at the front which are really hard to apply nicely. But the real problem is that they are to small, they should cover a bit more of the hood...
I think painting them would be easier and better but I just didn't have a suitable orange in my workbench...

Oh and last little tip the driver names have to be placed right above the orange stripes on the doors and not on the roof!! The instructions are a bit misleading... but luckily I noticed it soon enough

close up of some of the CF decals + turned exhaust tip

I couldn't resist... I made a little testfit for the big spoiler. And I think I found the perfect model for the Racingminiatures CF base. opcorn: opcorn:

It looks like almost finished but there's still a lot to do... now I let everything dry properly then I can apply another coat of Finisher's 2K clear (to get that nice tone of the green back...) and in the meantime I can make some more progess on the interior!

The base is just great too!

Masterful - this is just stunning. I'm sure it will be even more dazzling with final clear, but it looks perfect already. I can't stop staring at it, I especially like the CF skirts.

Oh yeah! This one looks very cool!

This is the best part of the modeling; the final coat is just about to go on and you get excited and "feel" the anticipation of wanting to see the final result!

No problem. The yellow stripe will change to Orange when I coat it with Polish Klear

Great job Saint. I'm learning (ok also keeping LOL) a lot from you guys on this matter.
