The foil from inside a cigarette packet is also a very viable option (I recommend Gitanes sans filtres if you can get them).

Also Model Factory Hiro sell a self adhesive, patterned foil expressly for making heat shielding. Look for it on www.hiroboy.com

Very nice, big fan of Rally Cars. I have yet to build one but I hope to soon. The roof vents looks great, as does the rest of the build.
