Basically, I have to see something to beleive it. NOBODY has seen this so called "god". I beleive in something that's there, you beleive in something that a book or people tell you. Evlotuion explains everything for me, religion doesn't.

Actually, I know only 1 thing. Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah. What God and the bible say are not just statements of fact that you must believe in or your are damned to hell. The bible is a book like any other. The authors had one intention or another when writing each of the books of the bible. I KNOW God exists, but proving it is another thing. My belief in God is based on what Karl Barth called "a leap of faith." That is the only way I can justify my existence and the world. But you never stated why God couldn't use evolution. Evolution isn't perfect either. It's a theory, just like gravity. They both do a good job of explaining everyday events and about 90% of everything. I'm not some ignorant and fanatical follower. I know that Ben Franklin found electricity. I know Charles Darwin founded evolution. But all things were made possible through Jesus Christ. Also, the point of the bible and especially the old testament, is not to say how, but to say why and what. The new testament says that Jesus has taken care of all the big things so you can you can trust in him through everything, big and small.

In reference to you having to see things to believe. The bible actually deals with just this thing. Thomas, a disciple of Jesus, would not believe that Jesus had risen from the dead until he put his hands in Jesus' nail marks from the crucifixion. Jesus said, you believe because you saw, but blessed are those who believe w/o seeing.

To everyone else posting on this thread: PLEASE stop calling MBTN stupid or ignorant or whatever. Just because he thinks differently than us doesn't mean that he is stupid or whatnot.

Then ignorance is bliss, because that's what made me. DNA made me, molecules of carbon, blood, organs, cells et cetera. It's what I am. Everyperson is not 1 living object, you are billions upon billions of micro organisms living as a whole.

And my answer is I don't, and I explained why I don't beleive in god. I feel that I explained myself and gave my reasons.

But all things were made possible through Jesus Christ.

Now this I really don't understand.

The cells multiplied and split (I don't remember the terms) Eventually they formed there own masses, which became organs and such. DNA is Dioxyribo Nucleic Acid (spelling). Whatever that means, it means it's made up of stuff.

this will go on forever till you come to the simple conclusion that something must have made these things, they didn't just pop out of nowhere...... a higher power maybe? which i refer to as God

Well, good. But that's what I want to know too. BUT, is god a physical thing? You need something to make something, like those molecules, but you also need something to make the someone to make the molecules (can you say Redundant ). See what i'm getting at. You are right, you can't have something for nothing, and god applies to that same simple rule as well.

Exactly. That's the catch with any religion. It just says there is a god. It won't say how god came about.

How would you know how GOD came about if HE started everthing. Not
one scientist in the world can tell how we came about. You know why,
what people don't see, they don't believe. They try to explain the best they can. It is not about if you see GOD. I personally never saw him myself. He wants us to have unconditional faith in HIM and Jesus. You have all these religions around here saying this and that. They all have
their own messiah and everything. But the one thing that separates
Christianity from everthything else is that Jesus was the only one that said he was the SON OF GOD. No-one else has made claims like these.
I think you will believe in him sooner or later. You are not open to believe in things that aren't seen by the human eye. Why don't you ask
him to help you and sooner or later he will answer your prayer. Wouldn't you want to find out for yourself. You can never stop learning..

I answered that in a previous post.... i said that it's probably the biggest mystery ever and we'll find out when we pass away and go to heaven (if we go to heaven)

I don't wanna argue anymore so that's my final statement: This world didn't make itself, so I believe that there is a higher power that made it
