Re: Golf 3 (Transfer 5 to 3 doors)

Very good! I'd go with Irish Green Pearl, or something of that nature. I like the Mk 3 in green.

same as any other part, but you just use more rubber, and clay.

Re: Golf 3 (Transfer 5 to 3 doors)

I would either paint it black, or yellow. One suggestion to you would be to sand down the pins on the backside of the taillights with some fine sand paper and then polish them before painting them. Its weird, i have the same project going, but its slow. Great progress, and keep us updated.

Fantastic job: factory quality, notless.

I ever loved this car white with black fenders but I know I have crappy tastes LOL

Re: Golf 3 (Transfer 5 to 3 doors)

I've painted the car silver today:

Silver will act as the base coat for champagne or pearl light blue.

ps. Photo is made with mobile, so sorry for the quality

Re: Golf 3 (Transfer 5 to 3 doors)

The Golf is red at the moment:

The hood is repainted, you can't see those silver edges at the moment.

Do you guys like the new colour? because i'm not really sure if i like it.

Re: Golf 3 (Transfer 5 to 3 doors)

Nice red but if it was mine, I would add some black details like grill, bumper and door trim,... Good job nonetheless

Re: Golf 3 (Transfer 5 to 3 doors)

The car has been clearcoated.

Some parts are also painted black:

Re: Golf 3 (Transfer 5 to 3 doors)

The red is nice but If you ask me I would repaint the rim centres to match coz the red with the bronze doesn't seem that right imo

Re: Golf 3 (Transfer 5 to 3 doors)

/\ I disagree. the gold looks great with that red. if I were you though I'd get another set of those wheels and use the narrower wheels all the way around. Being front wheel drive there is no reason to have wider tires in the back, unless you enjoy wasting gas (wider tires use more fuel) for the sake of making a fwd car look like rwd.

i was gonna say the exact same thing

anyway that color came out really nice. I would go with the OZ's with the center and the outer bolts painted black.
