I know Fly... I just said it was his fault. And no, there was nobody around. I'm 100% sure of it. It was an entrance to a parking lot, not even a real street. The car we "almost struck" was there after we did the slide. The rest of the parking lot was deserted minus the two cops (that's some shit luck). If you saw the surroundings, you would agree.

I agree that it's bullshit.

I was in Charlotte once and my girlfriend was sick in the hotel, so I ran out to the grocery store to get her some medicine at 2 in the morning. I was in a hurry and the parking lot was dead empty(I mean I was absolutely the only car) so I just pulled up in a handicap spot to run it. I wasn't gone 2 minutes when I got back and found a $100 illegal parking ticket!

God I was pissed. The cop had to be hiding somewhere. But I was still guilty of the crime. Fucking pigs!

Actually, citizens can write tickets for that. A co-worker of mine was parked in a handicapped spot because it was Sunday and we're closed on Sunday. And some guy came walking around and wrote her a ticket. Nevermind that we're closed and there are 50 other parking spots available, and 3 other handicapped spots, and for some idiot reason the handicapped spots are in front of the employee entrance instead of the customer entrance. She still got a ticket after trying to explain to him. This guy spends his days driving around looking for non-handicapped folks parked in the spots and writing tickets. Now I have no problem with being nice to the handicapped and all, but for crying out loud, we were closed and it was a frigging Sunday and NOT ONCE have I ever seen ANYONE who was actually handicapped use the damn spots.

I know it was my own stupid fault. Haven't you ever done something just to do it even if you knew it was wrong? But I could understand getting a ticket if I was taking a spot and blocking a handicapped person from getting to park close to the entrance but the cop had to be sitting right therein the shadows somewhere waiting to run out.

My high school was like that, we had like 6 handicapped spaces that nobody ever used, we were so strapped for parking that EVERYONE who couldnt find a spot parked on the lawn. Also a lot of people often took up 2 spaces to piss people off.

Usually when I go to safeway, I just park on the sidewalk next to the vending machines, the hell they gonna do?:finger:

I'll speak up in favor of cops correction A cop. Me and my parents were driving a POS U-HAUL up to our house in the mountains and the truck brown down and our cells had no reception so a cop came by and stopped and used his radio to call his office and got us a tow truck and everything, he was really nice and helpful, it was 100 degrees outside and he was kind enough to stnad out there with us till the truck came when he could have just left us. you realize those uniforms are wool? that had to suck. and on our way up the hill we saw him helping someone else and on our way down he was helping more people, he was a really nice guy there need to be more cops like him

I saw a Corvette cop car the other day. Our city was having some big party thing and they pulled out everything they could find, including that magnificent piece of work. I saw it rolling down the street and almost wanted to be a cop... just for a second.

It was, what looked like, a 98 Corvette. How our city can afford a cop car like that is beyond me. Maybe it was an impounded car or something. I don't know but it looked nice as hell

I'll admit that each time I got a ticket, I was doing what I got the ticket for; I deserved what I got. Though sometimes cops can be assholes about it when they don't have to be. There are also some that are pretty damn cool, it is all a matter of luck. I was once pulled over to ask about my car, he just wanted to shoot the shit.

garbage

So i get pulled over tonight, the first thing out of the cops mouth is "boy, is this your car?" and then he goes on to ask me about the year, make, and etc. i was thinking "you want my engine code too?" anyways, he tells me i was pulled over for having a modified exhaust and he was able to hear my music while i had the windows down, it wasn't even really loud, so anyways this prick insists that my exhaust is illegal. I wasn't about to argue though, so he gives me a warning and blah blah blah something about he could have fined me 60 bones for each offense, fuck that shit. that's what i say.
