Re: Compression Ratios...

Actually i'm not even really worried about it anymore. I'm hoping that the job I applied for falls in to place, then I'll be a 10 minute drive to work, in a provate lot, where nothing is around anyway. That way I can park the Z while while I finally drive my Rambler American after a 6 year coma. With the Z in it's place, I'll be able to get a bit accomplished on it.

Re: Compression Ratios...

Oh yeah, out of the ghetto. Luckily my car ahs been 150% reliable and not left me starnded. Cuz I've seen cars that broke down in the morning, and by the evening commute are frames on cinder blocks, no lies. It's getting better but damn, in broad daylight, nobody stops to wonder what the hell is going on.

But yeah almost 7 years, 2 batteries, 1 alt. and brakes. Times it did somewhat let me down, fuel pump but that wasnt' so bad cause it was right in front of my house. And then the crank sensor system that was altered for my by some little prick. But that let loose just as i got to work, and made it home half assed together. Buicks, I'll endorse the hell out of em. For a 20 year old car can't complain, oh that's right I rebuilt it when I bought it

Now i probably just cursed myself for the ride home.....

Part that will suck aobut the new job, i'll actually be working and not pissing the day away here looking like I'm working.

Re: Compression Ratios...

Nah, you have a computer room, you have to becasue they watn to expose you to Mitchell and Alldata. You just need to be sneaky to get internet access. But the general rule of thumb was as long as it was sutomotive related it's fine. Plus I'm paying for the damn thing anyway so wtf?

I, as a person, want to see what this little 305 is capable. I know it's the underdog of smallblocks and i always here "you should swap this and that in there instead. I'm not worry about cost (again, long term project that i'm not jumping into until i have a decent amount of knowledge on required subjects), as i have to worry about school and getting a decent paying job when i get out. I will do this, for the fact that motor is an underachiever in other people eyes and i believe that it has potential, as with any other motor, just not as cheap. You guys are all like family to me, and i appriaciate the fact that you look out for me and stuff, but this is just something i gotta do. My grandfather was in a similar situation once. And he shocked everyone with his results. Gonna fill his shoes again.
Sorry to bring this back from page 2, but....

The main problem with the 305 is the bore I believe. There isn't any.
Anything is possible. I just would rather see you happy with all that money and work into the car instead of disappointed.

Re: Compression Ratios...

I have faith in you Link, I think you can make one hell of a beast out of that 305 and I'd be more than happy to advise you on any ideas.
