My brother said that last night. He thought it looked great, and didn't notice that the lights were showing silver paint until I told him. He thought it was meant to be like that and thought it looked pretty cool..

Thanks for the comments guys.. I was starting to get a little upset, but it is only number five in the line of models I've built since restarting the hobby after a 15 year break..

it looks great. all the problems you mentioned are very hard to see. i actually took like 5 minutes to notice what you were talking about with the rear lights and when i did notice it i thought that was how it was supposed to be.

I’ve just done the front windscreen, and I’ve pulled the masking tape off, and instead of the normal leaks and bits of black paint in places I don’t want, its clean… I won’t have to sit here for 3 hours or more with a toothpick cleaning it up, and then re-applying spots of black paint to fill holes in left by picking excess paint away…

I’m impressed, it worked..!! I feel a whole lot happier now. And the S2000 badge has stuck with white glue. It hasn’t fell off.. Fingers crossed..!!

Front windscreen. Just need to attach the windscreen wipers and then install into the body.



Oh, and the body is in a plastic container, so it’s not marks on the body its just muck on the container.

I’ve also stripped the red of the seats and door inserts. It didn’t look nice, so will just spray semi gloss black.

Thanks for the top tip. I've now decided to just go with it. It was a mistake, but thankfully it's not going to ruin my model. Still want to buy the real car in yellow though.. But, this model will have to do.

Did some little updates tonight, attached the windscreen wipers, rear view mirror etc.. Not enough for a picture, but I'm hoping to fix the windows tomorrow, and I hope my flocking arrives soon, as this will soon start to delay the project.

Another update on my S2000, I keep updating this, as it’s my goal now to get this car completed. And I’m not that far from it.

Detailed the Dash, decaled and attached the steering wheel etc.. All test fitted at the moment, as I’m still waiting for black and gray flocking. I will mix a small amount of gray flocking into the black to try and match Honda black carpets.



Another pic, but closer. The seats are not there as they are ready to be re-painted semi gloss black.



Mounted the front windscreen, and OMG. This was almost impossible. Either I’m rubbish at putting front windscreen in, or this just wouldn’t stay in. I put the screen in a few times, before loosing my temper, and then out came the masking tape, and CA glue. Few small drops of CA, some white glue, tape and two hours later it was finally stuck in..!!



So glad I painted the roof black. Still need to trim the rear window, will do that tomorrow, and I need to attach the door mirrors. Actually I’ve took a look at these.. They are a bit flimsy.. Not sure how best to attach them. The rear aerial was flimsy, but the door mirrors I just don’t know yet how best to attach them..



And that’s it for tonight. Shame I can only take pictures at night. These pictures are a little darker, so you can’t see some of the detail work I’ve done. Still for those who are following this build, enjoy.

After many nights of work, the body is now completed. Tape is still there on the rear parts, as it’s holding the rear window in place as the glue sets.

Can’t believe it’s taken so long to complete the body, but overall and despite the mistakes it’s looking pretty good. Still need to wax the clear windows again as I’ve put a few finger marks in them, but I’m waiting for the glue to be completely set, so as I don’t push them out, plus I’ve got to be REAL careful now, as the door mirrors are VERY flimsy…. If I sneeze too hard next to them, it might actually blow them off… No joking..!! I applied white glue (Mircoscale) to the part and the body allowed to dry to a tacky state, and then pushed them on. Worked a treat, but they are not strong bonded..!! Wasn’t brave enough to attempt them with CA glue..

I read somewhere about using a smal piece of rod/stiff wire to position and strengthen the attachment of wing mirrors. Maybe you could try that?

At least all the hastle is worth it, since your S2000 is coming along very nicely. Looks very good, so don´t loose your nerves on the finish-straight.

This could be some of the last updates to this build, as this entire model is now nearly completed, apart from the flocking. And I’m hopeful I will get a bag of black and a bag of gray flocking tomorrow… Fingers crossed..!! I’ve dry fitted the entire interior, to take a little look at what it will look like. Looks OK.

I decided that the red seats did not match the yellow paintwork too well, and so have just sprayed them semi gloss black. I also did the same with the door panels.

Here are some shots with the roof up, and IMO the roof does not fit too well. It would fit perfectly fine if I was to glue it down, but just resting on top of the car body it has a gap showing. I don’t want to glue it down, as I want to display the car with the roof off, with the roof next to the model in my display case. Do not worry about the front ride height, I’ve just not clicked the body in place.

And this is it, I think the next update will be in the completed section…!! Phew.. Glad to see this one becoming a model, as I thought it was about to go a little south..!!
