The new Toyota Celica commercials are literally over the edge . . . funny stuff.

To promote the new "Action Package" . . .

The premise is that the package makes the car look fast even when it's standing still . . .

One spot shows a dog run out of someone's yard and slam into the back of the car . . . as if he intended to chase the car . . . except it was standing still.

Another spot shows a cop on a motorcycle . . . first you hear the bull horn in the distance "Red Celica . . . pull over!!" . . . then you see the cop ride alomst past the car before realizing that no on is inside of it . . . and that it wasn't moving . . .

There's another, something to do with an old man yelling . . .

REALLY funny stuff . . .

I laughed my ass off the first time I saw that. The old guy walking by, stops. Faint Russian-Euro Accent "Hey you, slow down. Punk", then he continues walking. Ah you have to see it to appreciate it better. as for BMWfilms.com, I went there after reading your post Silver S2000 and Saw STAR. OMG that is by far the best MOVIE I've ever seen. I mean it's a guy actually using an M5!

Great, I'm glad you liked it.

But, I don't think that's a real M5. They have and area of the site that showcases the featured cars, and there's a 540, but no M5.

I think it was just the shift knob.

no it's a real M5, if you read somewhere on the site it says, when they were shooting the movie they were going to use the 540i but then guy richie saw the M5 and he loved it so they used it, notice the M5 symbol on the back, the shifter and the slightly different M5 body

Yep. it's definately an M5, I know those Rims and the front bumper/airdam area has two foglights molded into it. If you ctach the back it also says M5. I also doubt a 540i could haul ass like that. They did use a 540i Six Speed in "Chosen".

Thumbs up

The one most prominent in my mind is Nissan's Sentra ad (not the most recent one) where the SE simply appears to be following the camera, when suddenly the shot rotates to show that the Sentra is actually speeding on a steeply banked section of a track.

OK, we all know that it's actually easier to drive a car on a banked turn rather than a horizontal plane, but I still say, as R35 always states, 'tre cool'.

How about the new Nissan Sentra commercial:

Two crash test dummies beating the crap out of each other to get to drive the car . . .

HILARIOUS!!

Hmm... maybe Nissan is spending the last of its money on a huge advertising campaign. I hope it makes more than a dent on the public. These commercials really get an enthusiast's attention.

Does anyone remember the theme/slogan of Toyota, before it was "I love what you do for me, Toyota"?

"You want it, you got it. Toyota." Just a guess.

No problem. I just looked through some of my old car magazines and found some ads.
