$460 a month to own with 3/4 acre land? I'm so damn jealous.

My roommates and I pay $2300 a month to rent our house and we have absolutely no land.

Great looking house, BTW.

Re: just bought my first house

$460 a month is full price with 20% down and no taxes or insurance. Our payments are going to be about $650 a month. We paid 93K for the house, dont have to put any money down, and taxes and insurance is about $100 of that $650.

And you guys have to realize, cost of living here is cheaper, but we get probably get paid a lot less at our jobs here than someone in California, New York, etc...

This is what around $450,000 or $2300 a month will buy you in Fort Wayne

Why did you have to do that?!

$2300 in Redondo Beach gets you this hunk of crap I call home:

Then again, I am one mile from the beach so I guess it's all about location.
