Re: '93 Revell Civic Coupe progressions

Antonio, could you post pics of what is included in the whole kit? I'm curious... since now I might not need to cut up my 4dr Civic and my 2dr hatch. This might save me some time, but who knows...trying to convert that car BACK to STOCK.

Such a Nice type R Antonio

Hi. this is one of my worst builds of recent times. If you buy this kit, please test fit all pieces!! I rushed and didn't and almost regret it. The kit has been taken apart and will be finished "correctly". I Clate, I can't take that picture now because almost everything is on the car. Progress continues...

Re: '93 Revell Civic Coupe progressions

ewww i'm glad you've got atleast a touch of perfectionist in you tonio, that ride height is NASTY... was it the kit's fault?

otherwise the car is beautiful, especially with that (looks like) R34 wing

Re: '93 Revell Civic Coupe progressions

Hey Tonio can you pleae give us a heads-up on what parts do not fit, im working on this kit right now. I havent got as far as you, so havent ran into trouble yet. My mock-up stage looked good so far, the ride height looks alot lower than yours though.
Good Luck with finishing this kit. Besides the height everything looks good.

Thanks in advance
JeFF

Hi all. I've found the problem; the bumper attachment left 2 small tabs sticking out that prevented the pieces from fitting like they should (see the picture below). The part has been ground down with a Dremel and the paint has been stripped. I'm almost ashamed to show it like this but hopefully somebody can learn from my mistake. The headlight and taillight bezels will be stripped, holes filled, and lenses modified to be rid of that "diecast" look. I hate diecast cars. I did get a chance to examine the F&F Civic diecast and noticed the different interior, wheels, and method of assembly. Take care I have a model to work on...

By the way: 91% rubbing alcohol makes the perfect stripper for Tamiya spray paints!! Special thanks to Okiemodelbuilder, and Zoom-ZoomMX-5!!

Re: '93 Revell Civic Coupe progressions

very nice build so far. It's a shame that you had to strip it Try 99% alcohol I used it to rub out some excess panel lines and ended up rubbing the paint too

Re: '93 Revell Civic Coupe progressions

Hi, me again. I resolved the bumper issue. Paint has been stripped. The speaker grilles are photo etched pieces, brakes are XS Tuning items, and the tach came from the Revell Eclipse. Hopefully, I can have it finished sometime this week. Paint will still be the same but maybe with different decals. Thanks again

I thought the revell 93 civic came with all those "tuning" parts like tach and stuff. SO wut optional parts does the civic come with?
