Actually the 5-speed trannys from R33s or R32s are stronger than the 6-speed getrag in the R34... that's what pepole keep telling me... there is a guy from australia that i know , he had a R33 that run high 10s on street tires with still all the goodies inside and a nice stereo system and he was still running on the stock gearbox... he had 800+ on the flywheel... BTW i have a solution for your problems... The tommy kaira ZZII , RB26DETT and ATESSA in a supercar body , 1000 kg of weight... Plus killer looks...

Quite true, the gears are thicker on account of having more room.

because the 2JZ-GTE is a better engine IMO

I have seen 900hp supras with STOCK bottem ends

with 2-3k your supra will be running 400+rwhp

It's a great engine

the top secret supra with the 720 hp 3sgte engine is for sale at $62,500. I was expectin it to be way more than that for a car that can get to 200mph in under 14 secs. dunno bout u guys, but id rather have one of these than sum run of the mill BMW or Merc anyday!

That sounds about right, I've seen supras on sale on Ebay with single turbos selling for less than that, producing 700+rwhp

This is a top secret though, so i would expect it be higher than the average fast supra.

Wicked!! I always thought that heavily tuned Skylines, Supras cost well in excess of $100,000-$200,000. If i can persuade the insurance company to insure me on one of these i might seriously consider getting one!

well gangstarr the supra engine is more stronger. but the RB engine revs better and has a higher red line. that is the soul reason why top secret even though of doin thi skind of swap. no imagine a super fast reving twin turbo straight six with a high red line without the aero dynamic flaw of the boxy skylines. then you'll have a crazy fast car that will probrably be faster then 99% of the supras out there.

To be honest, dispite the power and sheer sexy appeal of a Supra, I'd get a Skyline GT-R. It's rarer than a Lamborghini here in the United States. Plus the AWD, 4WS, and Twin Turbo systems in the car are sublime. Not that the Toyota isn't a fine car, it is. But I'd rather get something more unique...

i would rather have a skyline too, even though they arent that rare here in the UK. I just thought that all super-tuned cars where way more expensive than they are.

Does anyone think Nissan might offer the new V6 twin turbo theyre using for JGTC as an upgrade for road cars?

well if I could get either for free, I'd get a skyline too here in the states.

But for the price of an R34 GT-R here, you could buy a perfect condition, low mileage supra and modify it to have atleast 800-900hp

which in turn would kill any skyline (or Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc.) in the U.S.

but outside of the U.S. it would be a really hard decision.... but I think I would end up with the skyline because the JDM Supras are weak compared to the USDM. They have smaller turbos, smaller injectors and 40 less hp stock.

the supra isnt the fastest top speed car because the corvette sledgehammer hit 256. Theres no substitute for american muscle.
