Re: Ferrari 312PB 1972 Nurburgring - MFH 1/24
After so much time I manage to publish an update from my PB.
Meanwhile I worked on this Lotti for a Senna tribute... ![]() So back to 312PB and her chassis... First of all I cancel the screws for the front part of the chassis (not realistic) and I made the tube frame, from some rods. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I decide to paint the chassis, because the Hiro's part is very rough for my taste. So after many days of sanding , I painted it with a mix of polished aluminum and white aluminum. ![]() Then, I make the rubber upper part from a cut black cable. ![]() ![]() Some wash follows... ![]() After that, I saw some photos from the cockpit area (you can see also the tube frame). Here the pedals are four - +footrest - (not three Mr Hiro ) and the area are more complicated than in Hiro's kit. So I made it from scratch. Not 100% accurate but an improvement, isn't it...![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Finally, I glued he tube frame in the chassis. ![]() ![]() Not something really interesting or extreme, but after some time I manage to back to work. Hope you like it and wait for your comments... Best Regards George |

Re: Ferrari 312PB 1972 Nurburgring - MFH 1/24
Thank you Paolo!
Back to 312's progress with front suspension system. But before that, I try to correct the Hiro's faults. So for the rear brakes hiro gave some PE parts. For the fronts, is only white metal. So I try to found some new PE's, to match the shines of the front and rears. Of course some modifications needed. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Also, I replace the front brake cooling hoses, and I add some details on it. I plan to leave the finished model without wheels and body panels, so I put the hoses in a 'freestyle' place. ![]() ![]() ![]() The front suspension installed on the frame... ![]() I add, PE rivets in suspension support points, as I do for rear parts. ![]() So the front finished suspension is like this: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hope you like it... Best regards George |

Re: Ferrari 312PB 1972 Nurburgring - MFH 1/24
Some interior progress, on my PB...
First of all, I prepare the fire extinguisher (not included in kit ) with some hi - tech bases ![]() ![]() ![]() The preparation of electronic boxes follows... ![]() ![]() Then, I paint the scratch-build pedals..., ![]() and the brake fluid bottles. ![]() ![]() Finlay, I prepare the wires for electronic devices. ![]() So, at this time, the interior looks like this : ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hope you like the progress. More interior work follows, before I stopped it for my Le Mans build... Best Regards George |

Re: Ferrari 312PB 1972 Nurburgring - MFH 1/24
Looks really beautful!
The one thing I'd like to see is a blacker wash treatment given to the space between the two halves of the ventilated rotors. Seems like that area in the middle would be quite dark. Keep up the fabulous work! ianc |

Is that a horn mounted to the front bulkhead?
