Very ballsy. I think it would fit the agressiveness of the mentality of this thread.

How would you do it? I am afraid a red Tamiya clear red acrylic would pool and be inconsistent been there and done that).

I vote red chrome!!!!!!!
Andy
Nice!!! you could use Alcald Chrome as a base with Alcald Candy Red, I thik they are both Spirit based paints so shouldnt react. But yeah take it slow & even with painting it!

Re: Scuderia 16M, feat Autodecepticon & khngmy

Hi folks! More updates on the F430 coupe:
Started to work on the front mesh, at first I didn’t thought of cutting out the plastic mesh until I painted it, but my mind keep telling me that I’ve been putting so much effort in this project, why not just spend few more hours to remove the plastic mesh and replace it with a proper mesh? So here goes:

I washed away the paint and used Tamiya’s mesh to replace the original mesh. To make my life easier, I found these useful tools from a local store called “Daiso Japan” who sells Japanese goods and do carry some tools for modeling, it helps a lot in sanding and smoothing the corners of the mesh.

Rear panel lines filled and re-scribed.

The coupe’s body painted in semi-gloss black, anyone any guess on what color I’m up to?

Warning: A Ferrari test-mule was spotted testing on the road to Maranello factory..could it be the new 458 Monte Carlo?

That’s all for now, thanks for reading folks!

Re: Scuderia 16M, feat Autodecepticon & khngmy

Finally some updates from my side. Been working on the F430 coupe for the past few months and it’s completed already. Was thinking of spraying candy red but somehow it didn’t turn out as what I expected, so I chose to go with matt black instead. This is my first attempt on spraying matt finishing car, not a perfect finish but I hope to have more comments from you guys so that I can improve in the future.

Here are some pictures of the interior and the engine bay, not the top quality and not very detail as I was rushing to finish it up before I lost interest on it.

A picture of the completed car, will take more pictures of this F430 coupe when I complete the 430 Scuderia 16M.

Continue working on the 16M again, focus on the chassis first. This is the PE that I’m using for the 16M, a product from CrazyModellers, too bad that the quality is not as good as I expect, the PE is too soft and easily get bended accidentally. Looking at the multi-parts PE discs, I guess I won’t be working on it as it will be covered up when the wheels are fitted. So I just glue it on the original disc, but before I can glue on it, I sanded it smooth so that I can fit the disc on it.

That’s all for now.

Hello, some update here, primed both coupe and 16M body with white primer. Coupe wheels paint with semi gloss black. more detail will added.

Detail up the tub.

remove the detail of the stock disk, so the PE can lay on flat. painted carbon ceramic disk and yellow caliper.

Seats with black and grey color combo.

test fit scuderia engine parts into spider body and together with the resin wheel.

wheels painted with silver base and smoke it, then flat clear it.

thats all for now. thanks for the time and all comment are welcome.
