Haha.... looks like it. I got a chance to talk to a father of an 18 year old soldier in the 101st Airborne. He is a very educated man - PhD in chemistry, and he is also strongly in opposition to this war..... trust me man, there are more people against the war than you think.....

No. I don not. System of a Down, IMO, are lyrical geniuses. There lyrics are eaningful if you really just listen and interpret what they are saying. Take chop suey for instance: If you listen hard, they clearly speak out agaist self-righteous suicide, or killing yourself for a good purpose. I believe the song was written in relation to 9/11. Thants my 2 cents.

Haven't ever listened to SOAD to my knowledge, as for the "satanic" thing, who cares? Furthermore, has anyone noticed that most "satanic" bands/people are less interested in the "satan" aspect of things than they are in pissing off the Christian Right? They want to create controversy, as all press is good press, especially when it comes to youth who want to piss off their parents.

Also, it seems that a lot of people assume that anyone aetheist, anti-religion, anti-Christian, anti-Mormon, etc., is satanist. In fact, most people falling into that category don't believe in Satan at all.

i think that soad are anarchists. and in my experience i have never met an anarchist who was satanic, most are aetheist.
to my knowledge godsmack is wiccan not satanic, and i would say they are the only true representation of real rock that exists right now.

Id have to say i dont really like audioslave, but, they are an ok band, better than SOAD? idk?, i jsut dont get into that.

Against IE the Establishment as they used to call it. That was an interesting documentary.

:o other than that. These days if a band takes interest in politcal affairs i don't think that a large majority of people would A) particullarly care or B) understand to a large extent or be easily influence or put up fierce pressure against such action without studying the beliefs

needless to say i'd probably ignore it.
