Re: datto 510

the one in the blue can should work, but if i recall it takes longer. the only thing ive heard alcohol being use, is to strip acrylic paints. but it has to be 90% alcohol. the other house hold item that works is bleach. but i dont recomend it at all.

Re: datto 510

Couple of questions - what did you use for the headers, is that bent solder? And what is that you're using for some of your custom body stuff, some sort of rigid foam?

Re: datto 510

thanks guys.
girchy, the header is solder. 1/16 diameter silver solder. the scratch building stuff is some styrene, tamiya 2 part epoxy putty (tan color) and the green stuff is putty as well. i have come to find that the tamiya putty is better for building up and the green is good for a filler. too much and it tends to shrink the plastic.

Re: datto 510

well, i have been a bit under the weather lately havent done much on this one, but heres a bit of an update. i painted the chassis, roll cage and front seats along with a couple of red circles. one on each side. but i had to stop there due to me running out of primer for other parts.. oh well, gives me a chance to buy some plasti-kote.

hope to get this done soon. thanks for looking

This is a super cool build! I like the color you chose and the wheels are going to go perfectly. I also love how you chose to mount those awesome headlights, this car is going to look so awesome!
