Re: Lamborghini Miura 1971

A coat or two of yellow color were already on body, but then I realized that some dust came into it, all over the car. Eventually it took me an hour to remove it with brushing. Today I am going to repaint the bodywork.

That is such a beautiful car! I absolutely love the yellow paint on it too.

Re: Lamborghini Miura 1971

Looks terrific in yellow.

Good decision on not trying to cut open the doors. I think 'rolling down' the windows should show off your interior work pretty well.

Original springs and shocks were not very good looking, therefore I scratched new ones.

Re: Lamborghini Miura 1971

It is shining again! Body was painted with Prisma color spray.

I realised that I didn't build the air filters correctly. Air intakes should be placed under the middle line. I fixed that. Later I painted everything and placed some decals.

I also improved the belt.

Many other parst of engine are scratchbuildet, I added also plenty of wires and hoses. The engine is a bit dirty now. On the picture you can see tho precess of making hoses and new locker.

For preatier appearance PE parts from Studio27 was added. Wipers are photo etched. I Added pouts for washin windshield and scratchbuildet new antenna, which is much thinner.

Ceiling covered with cloth, and references:

There is some oil under the engine.
Finished model:

Re: Lamborghini Miura 1971

Wow, what an update!
Could you tell me if the fit of the PE parts on the body is good? I'm planing to do this build and I've already got the S27 PE parts.

Re: Lamborghini Miura 1971

PE parts fits perfectly except of those, placed on the upper side of doors. I had plenty problems with fitting, they were 2-3 mm too bright and standed too far out of the body (marked with green color on the picture). Therefore I had to make some modifications- I bended 2 mm of each PE part for 90° down. (red arrow) It is not perfect, but I had no other chance how to do it.

Good luck with your project!

Excellent

It's hard to tell what is reference and what is model

I noticed that too, I had to look twice to make sure I was looking at the model. This is a beautiful project. It's hard to believe you don't have an airbrush, just goes to show the skills you pocess.

One of the most impressive builds I've seen. And what a fantastic subject. Just beautiful.
