Just to answer a few questions....
Supratuner...its my goldern rule !!. I'll only build one at a time because i can put all my effort into getting it correct etc. IMO when you build 3-4 at a time its easy to get pissed off and move on to another kit if something goes wrong.

Jay...it is my first Ferrari kit due to the price of them here in NZ...WAY TO EXPENSIVE

Why are all the Ferraris so expensive. $40 bucks for a Modena is crazy.

Licensing for one. Second, Tamiya tends to put a lot more detail and work into their Ferrari kits.

Licensing is the big $$ for a Ferrari model, and Tamiya kits are already expensive.

Yeah, if your only source is a local shop $40 for a Modena is steep. Retail of a Modena is $41.00. I guess the Enzo is pushing $45.00.

My first Tamiya Modena was about $29 delivered from HLJ. They yen went down a bit, so my first Modena Spider was about $27 delivered. Then I found a Modena for 1/2 off of $38.99 at a local shop, and a few months ago a Spider for $21 at a local shop going OOB. My Enzo was $27 from a local "insider" deal that most can't get.

So there are ways of saving big $$ on Tamiya kits if you know where to look and are lucky and hit a sale.

They have yet to reach the shores of New Zealand yet, but i've been told they will be close to $80-90NZD which is around $50-55USD.

A NYWAY...BACK ON TOPIC
Kit is going really well. Today was a nice warm sunny day and got so much done i even amazed myself
Spent a good 8 hours on the kit today and got a fair builk of the painting done by can and brush.
Lots of detail to go now.
Today the parts that took up the most time was the front and rear springs. Probably spent around 2 hours in total getting these painted. They just need a tiny bit of finishing and they are all done.

8 hours? No surprise than how fast you build it.
I'm happy if I get 1 hour on day to work on my models.

Looking fine so far. But that isn't anything unusual.

8 hours a day? 1 hour a day? I need to start looking for another job. I was only able to model in the first week of this year. Ever since my projects have been collecting dust

Anyway, Nice to see that you were able to do so much on it Warren!
Looks promising.

I'm definitely looking forward to this one, but you really should try and build an F50 too - awesome, awesome car, and a not inconsiderable kit from Tamiya too.

Oh yeah, if you do get an F50, definitely get the Tamiya one - the others just don't do it justice.
