Luke, have you ever seen anyone actually install an OBX header and use it for an extensive period of time on an SR20DE? How about dyno runs? If the OBX actually proves to improve HP and torque, aren't you prejudging the product. Then again it probably is a POS! But I would like to see some tests that prove it actually is a POS.

Unfortunately, I don't currently have the funds to do such a test.
And there you have it. Basically, everyone I know of has elected to buy a known product, i.e. Hotshot, Stealin, AEBS, or even Pacesetter.

The Pacesetter is an OK cheapie. It's a total ripoff of the first gen Hotshot, except it uses thinner tubing (which causes cracking and reduces efficiency) and is painted instead of ceramic coated. I think it also does not use a flex pipe, but rather a cheapo ball and socket device.

I'm with Luke. Don't waste your money. You'd be far better off buying an older used Hotshot, Stealin, or AEBS header.

You make a good point there.

Here is a thought. What if the OBX is also a cheap copy of an earlier generation HS and the ceramic coating actually increases its longevity? Then it might be in the same class as the Pacesetter or could possibly even be better.

Again, very optimistic and not even SCC has included OBX headers in testing during their header shootouts even for Hondas and that just reiterates the fact that just from reading what I just wrote, the OBX headers are a POS!

Thanks for helping me see clearly George! Hehehe! :sun:

Go with an HS!!!! "Buy it from Luke" Hell I might even buy something from him now.
