Re: 1967 Shelby Eleanor

Hello again,

did some pics from angles I think I missed last time. Maybe you can see, it became dark very fast.

I hope I´m allowed to bring this thread back with the pics I love in May 2008.

I hope you still enjoy this one.

Re: 1967 Shelby Eleanor

Cheers again guys

Sorry, I´m really out of words this week
To be honest, I´m surprised about my model my self, the dead line was too short for this build, but good to have build it completely.
Bc of that I didn´t look at the model that much during the build and I´m more than happy that it worked with that little test fitting.

Yes, I really overdid myself with this, this is my best work so far and you know what? With a little bit more time I know which parts of the model could be much better. But for my first Mustang not bad, LOL

About the future, I have 4 Mustang kits in pile to build, but the closest next will be Supra, Chaser, FC RX7, Corolla, Skyline, Silvia stuff and for a longer project which should surprise me when it works, I started a 67 Impala.

Re: 1967 Shelby Eleanor

Alot of people try to build this car. Few actually capture it this well. Very very nicely done. Congrats on this one...

Whoever gave you 3rd place for that amazing replica of what has come to be one of the most famous movie cars ever, must be a hemihead. (and NO I don't like Dodges) I have been looking VERY closely at your build up here and I can see a few very small mistakes, but seriously anyone that would or could scrutinize for such small things needs to be kicked in the head with steel toe boots. You did an absolutely amazing job on this replica. I just wish the pictures were bigger in size so that I could study them that much closer. This should and probably will be soon enough, in ALL of the scale automotive magazines. BTW just curious, are you going to sell this? LOL

p.s. It is people like you that give people like me inspiration to attempt to take it to the next step.

Re: 1967 Shelby Eleanor

Thanks very much, the contest is past and silence is the best for the present.
I enjoy my model in my show case, without the contest I wouldn´t have it.

I thinked about selling it, yes.

But every time I sold a model, it arrived in a different condition as I sended it, so it will remain my own.

I´ll change the number plate to " California LYN 274" as next and will fix the passenger wind screen wiper. I still want to photograph it in flooded sun light, maybe it comes back again in a few months.

I hope it´s not over seen (like too much) then. Sorry if yes

Re: 1967 Shelby Eleanor

Risko, this car will NEVER be seen to much! I actually feel honor in having the privilege of watching this build come into fruition. I have said it before, and will say it again, this should be a sticky topic if for no other reason that I don't have to search for it when I want to show someone what a mustang SHOULD look like!

I'd like to see what beat you out of second and first. they HAD to be pretty damn good, or friends with the judges. I guarantee that if you were to bring that kit to the MCMA shoot out, you'd get first in your class, if not in show.

Re: 1967 Shelby Eleanor

Re: 1967 Shelby Eleanor

Guys, please don't bring this to AF. Discuss it on SPC if you want to.

It's a nice model and an interesting build - leave it at that
