Re: Mercedes SLR - Racing -

Looks brilliant. I really like the interior - any thoughts on the roll-cage?

Re: Mercedes SLR - Racing -

great stuff - work on the interior is a real gem. Really like the finish on the dash too, you say its 'Microballs', sorry to be slow on the uptake but who makes it?

Re: Mercedes SLR - Racing -

I like what you are doing here. The color choice is spot on, the interior well thought of.

Sean,

I am not totaly sure about it, but I think it comes from RC-modelling, a powder you use with glue for more sability or to fill small gaps. I got some from a friend.

But, I saw some guys, using flour instead, and that seems to work as well

Re: Mercedes SLR - Racing -

Hi,

inner door panels get a racing-like look

After painting and polishing, here the rear with light and without clear cover

... and the parts for the front

... the small side windows are covered with CF-decals, on the right side there is gas filler cap

The finished wheels:

Looks excellent. I wasn't sure about the orange at first, but it looks good. Did a Mercedes DTM get sarcrificed for it's decals ?

Re: Mercedes SLR - Racing -

Wow I love your work so much!

My only suggestion is to paint the bolts on the wheels in silver or gold instead of the gunmetal.

I'm curious to see it finished

Kris.

Re: Mercedes SLR - Racing -

That orange hood is amazing. The way you did the tail-lights is top notch. This is already one beautiful car.
