Haha, we got like 5 different MOS' just for aircrafts alone. Armament, Avionics, Crew Chiefs, Ammo, Aerospace propulsion... some other insignificant ones, lol

Re: Problems with Extreme Motorsports !HELP!

Okay its making a funny noise now... Just yeseterday I was drving it and gave it some boost and let off in 3rd. I got the normal blow off then the turbo let out a loud whine. It only did it once yesterday and twice today. Seems like it happens kinda of randomly but, it is very loud.

I also noticed my oil pressure is a little bit higher than normal. My balance shafts were removed and I know that doing so it will raise your oil pressure a little. Is higher oil pressure normally good/bad thing?

Re: Problems with Extreme Motorsports !HELP!

Possibly the turbo going bad. Dont turbos usually get trashed when breaking in a new motor unless you have a filter on it?

Re: Problems with Extreme Motorsports !HELP!

I thought turbos get trashed on break ins too. I asked Shaun before I got my car back and he said it won't be a problem for the turbo and it will be fine.

Re: Problems with Extreme Motorsports !HELP!

Personally I've had a great time in the Air Force, since I got out last year. National Guard is the way to go. Vehicle Maintenance is great when you don't have to deal with the stupid ass cops. But, I guess when you give any 18 year old a gun and tell them they're in charge of somthing, their ego grows 10 times the size of any normal persons.

I've also heard that you don't want to use your "good" turbo during a break in. Hopefully you didn't have a nice turbo, if that is whats going bad. I still have the T-25 just in case I have to do the rebuild.

So would they be held responible if the turbo did go bad? I have a feeling they aren't going to want to do shit.

Re: Problems with Extreme Motorsports !HELP!

I'd be interested to hear more about the turbos going bad while breaking in a new motor. I can't really think of a reason why your turbo would go bad while breaking in your motor.

When I got my car back the shop didn't tell me anything about that. They said just drive it like normal, don't beat it but don't baby it either. Let it feel boost and what not.

It's universally known that MP's are cock suckers. Standard issue with the badge and the gun.

Re: Problems with Extreme Motorsports !HELP!

It has to do with oil contamination. Tiny bits of metal get in the oil from the motor wearing together and that tears up the seals and bearings in the turbo.

Personally I have never broken in a motor so this is all stuff I have heard.

Re: Problems with Extreme Motorsports !HELP!

Oh trust me I've heard the same exact thing. I even asked Shaun though at Extreme Motorsports before I took the car if the break in would fuck up my turbo or not and he said it would be fine and not to worry about it. Worse comes to worse I'll rebuild the turbo or hey... go bigger.

Re: Problems with Extreme Motorsports !HELP!

As of now the turbo is fine. The car is broken in but still smokes a little oil on startup (probably just the turbo). Tommarow around 5pm the car is going to Extreme Motosports for the final Tune/Dyno Pull. I'll be sure to post up the numbers and most likely a video or two.
