This is a most interesting thread.

On one hand we have the great American ideal of "Bigger is Better" contrasted with the European ideal of "Why make it bigger when we can make it better?"

the only reason i chose the R32 gtr is because its the smallest of the GT-R's, it's the lightest of the GT-R's and it was biult at around the same time. (and because i jus luv it lyk u guys luv ur lancias)

(This badass Skyline is definatly on my wish list)

crazyazyjay where did you just say that a stock lancia evo can match the R33 in aceleration? the R33 does 0-60 in under 5 seconds, and can run 0-400m in 12.7 thats a whole shit load of cars ahead of your low 14 second 0-400m. yes that car is a very beautiful car. my frineds look at me weird when i show them that car online. but theres something very sexy about that grill and the quad circular head lamps. it looks like soemthing the golf gti mark tried to do but suceeded.

man where did you get those times from???!?!?!?12.7sec 1/4???thats jus bullshit a 32 which is lighter an equaly powerful can manage a 13sec an a 33 weighs more thena 32 and 34 (because its bigger)
maybe the v-spec 2 can (i seriously doubt that) but lets just settle at that the 33 is a faster an (obviously) bigger car. the 32 can beat a r33 (i heard) ina 1/4 mile thanx to its smaller body(equaling less weight).
but im not sure wether nissan has done anything about the 4wd which is very slow to catch on.

read this carefuly as you are about to be enlightend by a real gt-r fan

its not bullshit my friend. i'm a big collector of Bestmotoring International. if you have no clue wht that is then your not a true jdm fan. best motoring international is basically a video magazine that reviews new "stock" cars, and makes then race against each other on the drag strip, and on famious Japanse road courses. these test drivers are very popular and legendary racers. for the most familiar name lets start with Tsyuchia Keichi (drift king, contended in the 96 24 hours le mans, currently drives the Arta NSX in the GT500 class, Nakaya ( former champion, and has his own racing school) Hatori ( japanese F1 champion) Gan San ( probrably the best driver in the whole series, a really old retired champion) Tak Chan ( Gan San's son who is also currently competeing in japanese pro races) now with their skill levels, i have seen the GT-R any one of them hit atleast 12.9 on the 0-400km. for cryin out loud even the R32 was able to put down 13.4 in the rain!! and you sayin that the RB made the same power? wrong. the R32's RB made the least power. dont' be fooled by the factory rating. every GT-R is dynoed "Stock" to put down over 300hp an 300ft lb of torque at the wheels. the R33 had different turbos then the R32, and the R34 goes even a step farther by putting in ball bearing and cermanic blades. if you do'nt believe me i'll find a link to a British GT-R club, they have R33's putting down 319hp at the wheels, and R34's putting down 328hp at the wheels and that club is lead by Jeremey Clarkson who is also a very reputable Bristish Auto Journalist from Top Gear. if you need more proof i can prove it to you that alot of japaneseauto manufacterers don't follow that 280hp rule. if you look at the dyno for a Mitsubishi EVO 7, it puts down 244hp at the wheels. now the transfer case and the front diffs will take up about 25% power train lose to be lenleint. now you times 244 X 1.25 and what do you get? over 300 hp at the crank. how do you think a car that weights about 500lb more can keep up with it in the aceleration if they had the same hp? and the the EVO's can do 0-60 in 4.5 seconds. and the GT-R can do 0-60 in 4.7 seconds. close enough. its the 0-400 m dash is where the GT-R will win because even the EVO 7 RS can only put down 12.9 seconds. if you still want more proof, message me at T8TII on AIM i will be more then glad to send you these videos.

TATII is right, on paper all the GTR models have the same 280hp.

But in real life the R32 has about 280hp, and from there it goes up, the R33 is pushing 300+ and the R34 has to have well over 300hp.
The NSX, the Supra and the RX7's are the same.
