Viku has owned this car for ages. The car has been modified several times, rebuilt after a serious crash and had all kind of engines. The latest incarnation project includes an engine/gearbox transplant. The previous engine now resides in his roadster so new engine was needed. A practical joke (trial fit of his Rover V8 speedboat engine into a Mini) revealed that the Rover engine fits under the Clubman bonnet. Viku is also partly responsible for the fact that my Minor is now fitted with Rover engine. Anyway, his incredible idea of really fitting the Rover engine into a Mini is something else !! Surely there have been ambitious 16 valve projects but this must be one of the most extreme.
Holy shit! I want 1/4 mile times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lotus (I forget which one) always uses type-r motors.

Holy shit, now that's a mini, I always wanted an original mini but they want like 10,000 for an original mini over here in the US.

Wow I can't believe Rover's still using that V8, I hope it's aluminum block now. That V8 was originally designed by buick in the early 60's I believe, Never quite worked for them though, but Land rover saw the potential and they bought the rights to it. Wow I really want a mini now.

the only thing is the rover v8's only produced 190 bhp stock which is shite for a 3.5 , loads land rovers and range rovers over here have em, but also the rover SD1's had them too, now the SD1 was a nice car!!!!!!
